Colorado State University’s Trap & Skeet Team is a sport club. Sport Clubs are organizations that give students the opportunity to play their favorite sport at a competitive level. The main differences between a Division I (NCAA) program and a sport club team is the level of funding, there is no recruiting and we do not have full time coaches. As a sport club, the team receives a limited annual budget from student fee allocations and generates most of their operating budget from dues and fund raising activities. Participating on a sport club team is a good way to keep that competitive edge and have fun at the same time.
The Trap & Skeet program is for both men and women. The club begins in early fall and shoots all year. We shoot against many schools in the Midwest. In April the team participates in the ACU-I National competition that is usually held near San Antonio, Texas. CSU consistently ranks in the top 10 nationally in several areas of competition.
